Frozen Treats

Cats ancestors came from deserts, but modern day kitties appreciate cooler temperatures. To help keep them cool this Summer, try one of these cold treats.
  • Churu’s can be placed in the freezer for a cool soft treat.
  • Take pate wet food, mix with water, put into ice cube trays and you’ll have a slow melting healthy snack.
  • When all else fails, a shallow bowl of water with ice will keep your kitty cool and hydrated.

Lost Pet Prevention Month

July is Lost Pet Prevention Month, the fireworks that come around during the holiday can be loud, bright, and disorienting for many pets. Here are some ways to make sure your buddy stays with you or can easily come back to you.

  • Keeping your pet inside or only going out on a leash will make sure they stay within your grasp if they get scared.
  • For cats, giving them small places to hide in their home, will give them an out if the sounds or light become overstimulating.
  • If your pet becomes lost, update their microchip status, and send the number along with pictures of your pet to local vets and shelters. This will help them be on the lookout for your furry family.

Remember to update your pet’s microchip information regularly to help bring them home if they end up lost
